s1 3 s4 Local Government Legislation Amendment Regulation No. 313, 2003 (No. 2) 2003 PART 1—PRELIMINARY 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Local Government Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 2003 . 2 Commencement This regulation, other than the following provisions, commences on 1 January 2004— (a) sections 3 and 4(3) to (5); (b) part 3. PART 2—AMENDMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT (AREAS) REGULATION 1995 3 Regulation amended in pt 2 This part amends the Local Government (Areas) Regulation 1995. 4 Amendment of sch 1 (Information about local governments) (1) Schedule 1, entry for Cambooya, column 3, ‘edition 3’— omit, insert— ‘edition 4’. (2) Schedule 1, entry for Clifton, column 3, ‘edition 1’— omit, insert— ‘edition 2’. (3) Schedule 1, entry for Gold Coast, column 3, ‘edition 6’— omit, insert— ‘edition 7’.

PART 4—AMENDMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT (LIMITED REVIEWABLE LOCAL GOVERNMENT MATTERS) REGULATION 2002 9 Regulation amended in pt 4 This part amends the LocalGovernment(LimitedReviewableLocalGovernment Matters) Regulation 2002. 10 Amendment of s 3 (Receiving local government) Section 3— insert— ‘(f) for the Clifton/Cambooya relevant area—the Council of the Shire of Clifton; or (g) for the Cambooya/Clifton relevant area—the Council of the Shire of Cambooya.’. 11 Amendment of s 4 (Transferring local government) Section 4— insert— ‘(f) for the Clifton/Cambooya relevant area—the Council of the Shire of Cambooya; or (g) for the Cambooya/Clifton relevant area—the Council of the Shire of Clifton.’. 12 Insertion of new s 6C Part 2—

s 13 6 s 13 Local Government Legislation Amendment Regulation No. 313, 2003 (No. 2) 2003 insert— ‘6C New external boundaries for the 1 January 2004 transfer day ‘ (1) Map no. LGB31 edition 4 shows the external boundaries of the local government area of the Shire of Cambooya with the Clifton/Cambooya relevant area excluded. ‘ (2) Map no. LGB36 edition 2 shows the external boundaries of the local government area of the Shire of Clifton with the Clifton/Cambooya relevant area included. ‘ (3) Map no. LGB36 edition 2 shows the external boundaries of the local government area of the Shire of Clifton with the Cambooya/Clifton relevant area excluded. ‘ (4) Map no. LGB31 edition 4 shows— (a) the external boundaries of the local government area of the Shire of Cambooya with the Cambooya/Clifton relevant area included; and (b) the divisional boundaries of the local government area of the Shire of Cambooya with the Cambooya/Clifton relevant area included in division 3 of the local government area.’. 13 Amendment of schedule (Dictionary) (1) Schedule— insert— ‘ “Cambooya/Clifton relevant area” means the following areas identified in the Clifton/Cambooya report as part of the local government area of the Shire of Clifton— (a) the parts of lots 1 and 2 on RP 56017, and the parts of lots 17 and 18 on SP 133934, identified in attachment B of the report; (b) the part of Kings Creek, identified in attachment B of the report; (c) lot 4 on RP 23113; (d) the part of Ryans Road, identified in attachment C of the report. “Clifton/Cambooya relevant area” means the following areas identified in the Clifton/Cambooya report as part of the local government area of the Shire of Cambooya—

s 13 7 s 13 Local Government Legislation Amendment Regulation No. 313, 2003 (No. 2) 2003 (a) the part of lot 2 on Crown Plan AG 1770, and the part of Buckle Lane, identified in attachment D of the report; (b) lot 2 on RP 23235; (c) the part of Mount Kent Boundary Road, identified in attachment E of the report. “Clifton/Cambooya report” means the report of October 2003 called ‘Local Government Electoral & Boundaries Review Commission—Report on the limited reviewable local government matter affecting Clifton Shire/Cambooya Shire—Changes to the external boundaries of the area of the Shire of Clifton and the area of the Shire of Cambooya’.’. (2) Schedule, definition “relevant area”— insert— ‘ (f) the Cambooya/Clifton relevant area; (g) the Clifton/Cambooya relevant area.’. (3) Schedule, definition “transfer day”— insert— ‘(d) for the Cambooya/Clifton and Clifton/Cambooya relevant areas—1 January 2004.’. ENDNOTES 1. Made by the Governor in Council on 4 December 2003. 2.
