s1 2 s4 Local Government Legislation Amendment Regulation No. 108, 2003 (No. 1) 2003 PART 1—PRELIMINARY 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Local Government Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2003 . 2 Commencement This regulation commences on 1 July 2003. PART 2—AMENDMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT (AREAS) REGULATION 1995 3 Regulation amended in pt 2 This part amends the Local Government (Areas) Regulation 1995. 4 Amendment of sch 1 (Information about local governments) (1) Schedule 1, entry for Boonah, column 3, ‘edition 4’— omit, insert— ‘edition 5’. (2) Schedule 1, entry for Dalrymple, column 3, ‘edition 4’— omit, insert— ‘edition 5’. (3) Schedule 1, entry for Esk, column 3, ‘edition 3’— omit, insert— ‘edition 4’. PART 3—AMENDMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT (LIMITED REVIEWABLE LOCAL GOVERNMENT MATTERS) REGULATION 2002 5 Regulation amended in pt 3 This part amends the LocalGovernment(LimitedReviewableLocalGovernment Matters) Regulation 2002. 6 Amendment of s 3 (Receiving local government) Section 3— insert — ‘(e) for the Dalrymple/Thuringowa relevant area—the Council of the Shire of Dalrymple.’. 7 Amendment of s 4 (Transferring local government) Section 4— insert — ‘(e) for the Dalrymple/Thuringowa relevant area—the Council of the City of Thuringowa.’.

s8 4 s9 Local Government Legislation Amendment Regulation No. 108, 2003 (No. 1) 2003 8 Amendment of pt 2 (Implementation of limited reviewable local government matters) (1) Section 6, heading— omit, insert— ‘6 New external boundaries for the 8 February 2002 transfer day ’. (2) After section 6(4)— insert— ‘6A New external boundaries for the 1 January 2003 transfer day ’. (3) Section 6A(5) to (8) (previously section 6(5) to (8), but renumbered by insertion of new section 6A heading)— renumber as section 6A(1) to (4). (4) Part 2— insert— ‘6B New external boundaries for the 1 July 2003 transfer day ‘ (1) Map no. LGB120 edition 2 shows the external boundaries of the local government area of the City of Thuringowa with the Dalrymple/Thuringowa relevant area excluded. ‘ (2) Map no. LGB43 edition 5 shows the external boundaries of the local government area of the Shire of Dalrymple with the Dalrymple/Thuringowa relevant area included.’. 9 Amendment of schedule (Dictionary) (1) Schedule— insert— ‘ “Dalrymple/Thuringowa relevant area” means the following areas identified in the Dalrymple/Thuringowa report as part of the local government area of the City of Thuringowa— (a) lot 18 on Crown Plan EP 1554; (b) lot 19 on SP 139520, including Easement C on Crown Plan EP 1954 and the road intersecting lot 19; (c) the part of lot 8 on Crown Plan EP 350, identified in attachment B of the report;

s9 5 s9 Local Government Legislation Amendment Regulation No. 108, 2003 (No. 1) 2003 (d) the parts of lot 12 on Crown Plan EP 2144, and the roads intersecting lot 12, identified in attachment B of the report. “Dalrymple/Thuringowa report” means the report of February 2003 called ‘Local Government Electoral & Boundaries Review Commission—Report on the limited reviewable local government matter affecting Dalrymple/Thuringowa—Changes to the external boundaries of the area of the Shire of Dalrymple and the area of the City of Thuringowa’.’. (2) Schedule, definition, “relevant area”— insert— ‘(e) the Dalrymple/Thuringowa relevant area.’. (3) Schedule, definition, “transfer day”— insert— ‘(c) for the Dalrymple/Thuringowa relevant area—1 July 2003.’. ENDNOTES 1. Made by the Governor in Council on 12 June 2003. 2.
