This regulation may be cited as the Local Government Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1999 . PART 2—AMENDMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT (ALBERT, BEAUDESERT AND GOLD COAST) REGULATION 1994 ˙ Regulation amended in pt 2 2. This part amends the Local Government (Albert, Beaudesert and GoldCoast) Regulation 1994 . ˙ Amendment of s 23 (Application of continuing local laws to new area) 3.(1) Section 23— insert — ‘ (2A) Despite section 22(1), a continuing local law applied under subsection (2) continues in force as a local law of the new local government until it is repealed by the new local government.’. (2) Section 23(2A) and (3)— renumber as section 23(3) and (4). ˙ Insertion of new s 71 4. After section 70— insert —

PART 3—AMENDMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT (ALLORA, GLENGALLAN, ROSENTHAL AND WARWICK) REGULATION 1994 ˙ Regulation amended in pt 3 5. This part amends the LocalGovernment(Allora,Glengallan,Rosenthal and Warwick) Regulation 1994 . ˙ Insertion of new pt 6 6. This part amends the LocalGovernment(Brisbane,Esk,Ipswich,Logan and Moreton) Regulation 1994 . ˙ Amendment of s 25 (Application of continuing local laws) 8.(1) Section 25— insert — ‘ (2A) Despite section 24(1), a continuing local law applied under subsection (2) continues in force as a local law of the new local government until it is repealed by the new local government.’. (2) Section 25(2A) and (3)— renumber as section 25(3) and (4). ˙ Insertion of new s 87 9.
