Local Government (Huon Valley Council Dismissal) Order 2016

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister for Planning and Local Government, make the following order under section 226 of the Local Government Act 1993 .6 October 2016

1Short titleThis order may be cited as the Local Government (Huon Valley Council Dismissal) Order 2016 . 2CommencementThis order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette. 3InterpretationThe Acts Interpretation Act 1931 applies to the interpretation of this order as if it were by-laws. 4Dismissal of councillorsAll the councillors of the Huon Valley Council are dismissed from office.

This order is administered in the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the order) This order dismisses from office all the councillors of the Huon Valley Council.
