An Act to amend the Local Government Act 1919 as a consequence of the enactment of the Hunter Water Board Act 1988. [Assented to 21 December

Local Government (Hunter Water Board) Amendment 1988

The Legislature of New South Wales enacts:

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the Local Government (Hunter Water

Board) Amendment Act 1988.

Commencement

2. This Act commences on a day or days to be appointed by

proclamation.

Amendment of Local Government Act 1919 No. 41

  1. The Local Government Act 1919 is amended as set out in Schedule

1.

SCHEDULE 1—AMENDMENTS

(Sec. 3)

(1) Section 10 (Certain Acts not affected)

After "the Water Board Act 1987;", insert "the Hunter Water

Board Act 1988;".

(2) Section 327 (Conditions to be observed before opening new roads or

subdivisions)

(a) After section 327 (1) (d) (ii) (A) and (2) (b) (ii) (A), insert:

(Al) the Hunter Water Board's area of operations, within the

meaning of the Hunter Water Board Act 1988; or

(b) In section 327 (1) (d) (ii) and (2) (b) (ii), before "or section"

wherever occurring, insert ", section 27 of the Hunter Water

Board Act 1988".

(3) Section 331A (Subdivision of land within the area of operations of a

Water Board or Water Supply Authority)

(a) After section 331A (1) (a) (i), insert:

(ia) the Hunter Water Board's area of operations, within the

meaning of the Hunter Water Board Act 1988; or

(b)

In section 331A (1), after "Water Board" where lastly occurring, insert ", the Hunter Water Board".

(d) After section 3 3 1 A (3) (a), insert:

(ai) the Hunter Water Board's area of operations, within the

meaning of the Hunter Water Board Act 1988; or
