Part 1—Preliminary

1—Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Local Government (General) (Fees) Variation Regulations 2011.

2—Commencement

These regulations will come into operation on 1 July 2011.

3—Variation provisions

In these regulations, a provision under a heading referring to the variation of specified regulations varies the regulations so specified.

4—Substitution of Schedule 2

Schedule 2—delete the Schedule and substitute:

Schedule 2—Prescribed fees

For the purposes of section 169(9)(c) of the Act, where the valuation is—

    (a)    of land used by the objector solely as his or her principal place of residence, the prescribed fee is

$90.50

    (b)    of any other land, the prescribed fee is

$224.00

For the purposes of section 169(16) of the Act, the fee payable in relation to a review is the amount of the allowances payable under section 25A(8) of the Valuation of Land Act 1971 in relation to the review

For the purposes of section 187(3)(e) of the Act the fee fixed under the Act is

$10

Note—

As required by section 10AA(2) of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1978, the Minister has certified that, in the Minister's opinion, it is necessary or appropriate that these regulations come into operation as set out in these regulations.
