Local Government (General) Amendment Regulations 2009
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Local Government Act 1993 .26 June 2009

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Local Government (General) Amendment Regulations 2009 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on 1 July 2009. 3Principal RegulationsIn these regulations, the Local Government (General) Regulations 2005 are referred to as the Principal Regulations. 4Regulation 32 amended (Variation factors) Regulation 32 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting paragraph (a) . 5Regulation 36 rescinded Regulation 36 of the Principal Regulations is rescinded. 6Regulation 37 amended (Compulsory acquisition of land) Regulation 37(e) of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows: (a) by omitting subparagraph (i) ; (b) by omitting subparagraph (iii) . 7Schedule 7 amended (Questions) Part 5 of Schedule 7 to the Principal Regulations is amended as follows: (a) by omitting from the heading "WATER, SEWERAGE,"; (b) by omitting the following headings: | Part 6 of the Local Government (Building and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1993 |

(c) by omitting | Sewers and Drains Act 1954 |
and substituting the following heading: (d) by omitting items 29 and 30 ; (e) by omitting " Part VIII of the Sewers and Drains Act 1954 " from paragraph (b)(i) of item 31 and substituting "Part VIII of the Drains Act 1954"; (f) by omitting "the Sewers and Drains Act 1954 or a notice of proposed action by the council under the authority of the Waterworks Clauses Act 1952 " from paragraph (a) of item 33 and substituting "the Drains Act 1954". Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.
