Regulation under the Local Government Act 1993.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to prescribe as penalty notice offences the offences of refusing or failing to answer a question, or providing a false or misleading answer to a question, relating to the preparation of the non-residential roll electoral information register.

This Regulation is made under the Local Government Act 1993 and the City of Sydney Act 1988, including section 748 (the general regulation-making power) of, and item 14 (Elections) of Schedule 6 to, the Local Government Act 1993 and sections 3 (2) and 58 (the general regulation-making power) of the City of Sydney Act 1988.
