Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to change the amounts payable under a penalty notice for certain offences certain offences) and 748 (the general regulation-making power).

under the Local Government Act 1993, so as to standardise those amounts across legislation that regulates
conduct at certain public places.

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Local Government (General) Amendment (Penalty Notice

Offences) Regulation 2019.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Local Government (General) Regulation 2005

Schedule 12 Penalty notice offences

Omit “$110” wherever occurring in paragraphs (a), (b) and (c) of the matter relating to section 633 (1).

Insert instead “$75”.
