This regulation may be cited as the Local Government (Electoral Matters) Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1993 . ˙ Amended regulation 2. The LocalGovernment(ElectoralMatters)Regulation1993 is amended as set out in this regulation. ˙ Amendment of s.4 (When electoral matters take effect) 3. Section 4(a)— omit ‘ this regulation ’, insert ‘ the provision in which the local authority is mentioned ’. ˙ Insertion of new s.4A 4. After section 4 (in Part 2)— insert— ˙ ‘Shire of Albert ‘4A.(1) The area of the Shire of Albert is divided into 5 divisions in accordance with map no. LGB2 Edition 1. ‘(2) The assignment of members to the divisions is as follows— (a) Division 1—2 members; (b) Division 2—2 members; (c) Division 3—2 members; (d) Division 4—2 members; (e) Division 5—2 members. ‘(3) The council for the shire consists of— (a) the chairperson; and (b) 10 other members. ’.

After section 6— insert— ˙ ‘Shire of Banana ‘6A.(1) The area of the Shire of Banana is divided into 5 divisions in accordance with map no. LGB8 Edition 1. ‘(2) The assignment of members to the divisions is as follows— (a) Division 1—2 members; (b) Division 2—2 members; (c) Division 3—2 members; (d) Division 4—2 members; (e) Division 5—4 members. ‘(3) The council for the shire consists of— (a) the chairperson; and (b) 12 other members. ’. ˙ Insertion of new s.8A 6. After section 8— insert— ˙ ‘Shire of Beaudesert ‘8A.(1) The area of the Shire of Beaudesert is divided into 8 divisions in accordance with map no. LGB12 Edition 1. ‘(2) The assignment of members to the divisions is as follows— (a) Division 1—1 member; (b) Division 2—1 member; (c) Division 3—1 member; (d) Division 4—1 member;

After section 12— insert— ˙ ‘Shire of Caboolture ‘12A.(1) The area of the Shire of Caboolture is divided into 6 divisions in accordance with map no. LGB27 Edition 1. ‘(2) The assignment of members to the divisions is as follows— (a) Division 1—1 member; (b) Division 2—1 member; (c) Division 3—1 member; (d) Division 4—1 member; (e) Division 5—1 member; (f) Division 6—1 member. ‘(3) The council for the shire consists of— (a) the chairperson; and (b) 6 other members. ’. ˙ Insertion of new s.13A 8. After section 13—

LGB30 Edition 1. ‘(2) The assignment of members to the divisions is as follows— (a) Division 1—1 member; (b) Division 2—1 member; (c) Division 3—1 member; (d) Division 4—1 member; (e) Division 5—1 member; (f) Division 6—1 member; (g) Division 7—1 member; (h) Division 8—1 member; (i) Division 9—1 member; (j) Division 10—1 member. ‘(3) The council for the city consists of— (a) the chairperson; and (b) 10 other members. ’. ˙ Insertion of new ss.21A and 21B 9. After section 21— insert— ˙ ‘City of Gold Coast ‘21A.(1) The area of the City of Gold Coast is divided into 10 divisions in accordance with map no. LGB58 Edition 1. ‘(2) The assignment of members to the divisions is as follows— (a) Division 1—1 member;

LGB61 Edition 1. ‘(2) The assignment of members to the divisions is as follows— (a) Division 1—3 members; (b) Division 2—3 members; (c) Division 3—2 members. ‘(3) The council for the shire consists of— (a) the chairperson; and (b) 8 other members. ’. ˙ Insertion of new s.23A 10. After section 23— insert—

LGB66 Edition 1. ‘(2) The assignment of members to the divisions is as follows— (a) Division 1—1 member; (b) Division 2—1 member; (c) Division 3—1 member; (d) Division 4—1 member; (e) Division 5—1 member; (f) Division 6—1 member; (g) Division 7—1 member; (h) Division 8—1 member; (i) Division 9—1 member; (j) Division 10—1 member. ‘(3) The council for the city consists of— (a) the chairperson; and (b) 10 other members. ’. ˙ Amendment of s.28 (City of Logan) 11. Section 28(1)— omit ‘ Edition 2 ’, insert ‘ Edition 3 ’. ˙ Insertion of new ss.28A and 28B 12. After section 28— insert— ˙ ‘Shire of Maroochy ‘28A.(1) The area of the Shire of Maroochy is divided into 10 divisions in accordance with map no. LGB82 Edition 1.

LGB85 Edition 1. ‘(2) The assignment of members to the divisions is as follows— (a) Division 1—3 members; (b) Division 2—3 members; (c) Division 3—3 members. ‘(3) The council for the shire consists of— (a) the chairperson; and (b) 9 other members. ’.

After section 36— insert— ˙ ‘Shire of Pine Rivers ‘36A.(1) The area of the Shire of Pine Rivers is divided into 10 divisions in accordance with map no. LGB104 Edition 1. ‘(2) The assignment of members to the divisions is as follows— (a) Division 1—1 member; (b) Division 2—1 member; (c) Division 3—1 member; (d) Division 4—1 member; (e) Division 5—1 member; (f) Division 6—1 member; (g) Division 7—1 member; (h) Division 8—1 member; (i) Division 9—1 member; (j) Division 10—1 member. ‘(3) The council for the shire consists of— (a) the chairperson; and (b) 10 other members. ’.
