Local Government (Elections) Order 2009

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following order under section 268A(1A) of the Local Government Act 1993 .13 July 2009

1Short titleThis order may be cited as the Local Government (Elections) Order 2009 . 2CommencementThis order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette. 3Determination of postponement of electionsIt is determined that the elections in respect of the Break O’Day Council and the Glamorgan-Spring Bay Council, the closing day for which would otherwise have been the last Tuesday in October in 2009, are postponed.

Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.

Notified in the Gazette on 22 July 2009

This order is administered in the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the order) This order determines that the elections in respect of the Break O’Day Council and the Glamorgan-Spring Bay Council, the closing day for which would otherwise have been the last Tuesday in October in 2009, are postponed.
