Local Government (Elections) Amendment

Regulations 2012

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Local Government (Elections)

Amendment Regulations 2012.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows -

(a) regulations I and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)
the rest of the regulations on the day after that day.

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Local Government (Elections)
Regulations 1997.

4.            Regulation 10 amended

In re  ulation 10(1 ) delete "4.31(1)(b)(i)" and insert:
4.31(1B)(a)
Note: The heading to amended regulation 10 is to read:
4.31( I E),(1F)or(IG)

5.             Regulation 11 amended

In i e^gulation 1 l(l)delete "4.31(1)(e). (f) or (g)" and insert:

6. Regula tion 82 amended
Delete regulation 82(4) and insert:

(4) If, after the period mentioned in subregulation (3). the

parcels are to he destroyed

(a) the destruction is to he carried out by or under the supervision of the CEO in the presence of at least 2 employees; or
(b)

the parcels are to be conveyed securely to a a locked bin provided by such a company, by or

under the supervision of the CEO in the

presence of at least 2 employees.

(5) In subregulation (4)

destroi. in relation to a parcel of ballot papers. means

to deal with the parcel so that all of the infrmation

recorded or stored on the papers in the parcel are

obliterated or rendered illegible or Irrecoverable,

secure paper destruction company means a person or

both that under contract or agreement • ith the local
government is to destroy papers for the local
government.

7.            Schedule I amended

(1) In Schedule I Form 2 delete "^^ >> [ 1 r[er. ( fr or (g)" and insert:
4.31[IE).(IF)or(IG)
(2) In Schedule I Form 8 under the heading "Back of Form 8"" in
box 3 -
(a) delete "from being elected as a member" and insert:

(b) after the 5' I ' bullet point insert:

have been convicted on indictment of an offence for hich the indictable penalty was or included

[ 1 i mprisonment for life; or
ii) i mprisonment for more than 5 years;
or
(c) after each of the I S` to the 4"' bullet points insert:

RACING AND WAGERING WESTERN AUSTRALIA (Adopted TABCORP Betting Rules)

Made by Racing and Wagering Western Australia under section 59(8)(c) of the Act.
1. Citation
This notice is the Racing and Wagering Western Australia (Adopted TABCORP

Betting Rules Notice 2012.

2. Interpretation

In this notice

"the Act" means the Racing and Wagering Western Australia Act 2003;
"the Rules" means the rules described in clause 3, adopted by Racing and

Wagering Western Australia.

3. Rules adopted under section 59(4) of the Act
(1) In a meeting held on 21 February 2005 and a further meeting held on 26 April
2005. Racing and Wagering Western Australia resolved to adopt and operate under
rules relating to a combined totalisator scheme in accordance with section 59(4) of

the Act..

(2) A copy of the rules adolated was Iiublished for public information in the Gazette of
7 July 2005 at. pp. 3095-3156.
