Local Government (Constitution) Amendment

Regulations 2006

Made by the Lieutenant-Governor and Administrator in Executive
Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Local Government (Constitution)
Amendment Regulations 2006.

2.             The regulations amended

The amendments in these regulations are to the Local
Government (Constitution) Regulations 1998*.

3.             Regulation 13 amended

(1) Regulation 13(1) is amended by deleting paragraphs (a) and (b).
(2) Regulation 13(2) is amended as follows:
(a) by deleting “An oath, affirmation or declaration” and inserting instead —

“ A declaration ”;

(b) by deleting “taken or” in the 2 places where it occurs.
(3) Regulation 13(3) is amended as follows:
(a) by deleting “An oath, affirmation or declaration” and inserting instead —

“ A declaration ”;

(b) by deleting “taken or” in the 2 places where it occurs.
(4) Regulation 13(4) is amended as follows:
(a) by deleting “An oath, affirmation or declaration” and inserting instead —

“ A declaration ”;

(b) by deleting “taken or” in the 2 places where it occurs.

(5) Regulation 13(5) is amended in the definition of “authorized
person” by deleting “section 2 of the Declarations and
Attestations Act 1913.” and inserting instead —
“ the Oaths, Affidavits and Statutory Declarations Act 2005. ”.

4.             Schedule 1 amended

Schedule 1 is amended by deleting Forms 5 and 6.
