Local Government (Audit Panels) Amendment Order 2015

I make the following order under section 85B(1) of the Local Government Act 1993 .19 November 2015

1Short titleThis order may be cited as the Local Government (Audit Panels) Amendment Order 2015 . 2CommencementThis order takes effect on 1 January 2016. 3Principal OrderIn this order, the Local Government (Audit Panels) Order 2014 is referred to as the Principal Order. 4Clause 5 amended (Membership of audit panel) Clause 5 of the Principal Order is amended as follows: (a) by omitting paragraph (b) from subclause (2) ; (b) by omitting paragraph (c) from subclause (2) and substituting the following paragraph: (c) a member of an audit panel of another council, if he or she is an independent person in respect of the other council. (c) by inserting the following subclause after subclause (2) : (2A)  A councillor, or employee, of a council is not eligible to be a member of an audit panel of another council.
