Local Government (Audit) Amendment

Regulations (No. 2) 2013

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Local Government (Audit) Amendment
Regulations (No. 2) 2013.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a) regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these

regulations are published in the Gazette;

(b) the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Local Government (Audit)
Regulations 1996.

4.             Regulation 10 amended

(1) In regulation 10(3):

(a) in paragraph (d) delete “audit.” and insert:

audit; and

(b)	after paragraph (d) insert:
(e) the opinion of the auditor as to whether or not the following financial ratios included in the annual financial report are supported by verifiable information and reasonable

assumptions —

(i)      the asset consumption ratio; and

(ii)      the asset renewal funding ratio.

(2) After regulation 10(3) insert:

(4A)	In subregulation (3)(e) —
asset consumption ratio has the meaning given in the
Local Government (Financial Management)
Regulations 1996 regulation 50(2);

asset renewal funding ratio has the meaning given in
the Local Government (Financial Management)
