Local Government (Audit) Amendment

Regulations 2011

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Local Government (Audit) Amendment
Regulations 2011.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)	regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Local Government (Audit)
Regulations 1996.

4.             Regulation 13 amended

In regulation 13 delete the Table and insert:

5.             Regulation 14 amended

(1) After regulation 14(2) insert:

(3A) The local government’s audit committee is to review
the compliance audit return and is to report to the
council the results of that review.

(2) In regulation 14(3) delete “A compliance audit return is to
be —”and insert:

After the audit committee has reported to the council
under subregulation (3A), the compliance audit return

is to be —
