Act N o . 136, 1980 .

An Act to amend section 4 of the Local Government Associations Incorporation Act, 1974, so as to change the name of the Local Government Electricity Association of New South Wales. [Assented to, 9th December, 1980.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

1.      This Act may be cited as the "Local Government Associa­

tions Incorporation (Amendment) Act, 1980".

2 . The Local Government Associations Incorporation Act,

1974, is amended by inserting after section 4 (3) the following

subsections :—

(4) As from the commencement of the Local Government

Associations Incorporation (Amendment) Act, 1980—

(a)	the corporation that corresponds to the Local Gov­ ernment Electricity Association of New South Wales has the corporate name "Local Government Energy Association of New South Wales"; and
(b)	a reference in any Act (except this Act) or statut­ ory instrument or in any other instrument, or in any contract or agreement, to the Local Government Electricity Association of New South Wales shall be construed as a reference to the Local Govern­ ment Energy Association of New South Wales.

(5) The Local Government Energy Association of New

South Wales is a continuation of, and the same legal entity as,
