This regulation may be cited as the Local Government (Areas) Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 1999 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the LocalGovernment(Areas)Regulation1995 . ˙ Insertion of new pt 3, div 3 3. Part 3— insert— ‘ Division 3—Abolition of joint local government ˙ ‘ Abolition of Northern Queensland Afforestation Program Joint Board ‘ 11. The Northern Queensland Afforestation Program Joint Board and its area are abolished. ˙ ‘ Apportionment of Northern Queensland Afforestation Program Joint Board’s assets and liabilities ‘ 12.(1) This section provides for the apportionment of the Northern Queensland Afforestation Program Joint Board’s assets and liabilities among its component local governments. ‘ (2) The joint local government’s assets are apportioned in the following way— • Atherton Shire Council—10% • Cairns City Council—10% • Cardwell Shire Council—10% • Cook Shire Council—10% • Douglas Shire Council—10%
