s1 2 s3 Local Government (Areas) Amendment Regulation No. 289, 2002 (No. 1) 2002 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Local Government (Areas) Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2002 . 2 Regulation amended This regulation amends the Local Government (Areas) Regulation 1995. 3 Amendment of sch 2 (Information about joint local governments) Schedule 2, part 1, item 4— omit, insert — ‘4 Jurisdiction ‘Jurisdiction— (a) the planning, design, construction, management, maintenance and operation of— (i) water supply headworks consisting of a storage dam on Obi Obi Creek; and (ii) any other facility required for the supply of treated or untreated water in bulk to the joint local government area; (b) the treatment of water in bulk in the area; (c) the supply of treated or untreated water in bulk to— (i) Caloundra City Council and Maroochy Shire Council; and (ii) other consumers inside or outside the area; (d) the sale of treated or untreated water in bulk, on conditions the joint local government considers appropriate, to— (i) Caloundra City Council and Maroochy Shire Council; and (ii) other consumers inside or outside the area; (e) the provision, maintenance, protection and operation of recreational facilities at the water supply headworks and on any other land owned by, or under the control of, the joint local government.’.
