This regulation may be cited as the Local Government (Areas) Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1999 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the LocalGovernment(Areas)Regulation1995 . ˙ Omission of pt 3 div 3 (Abolition of joint local governments) 3. Part 3, division 3— omit . ˙ Amendment of sch 2 (Information about joint local governments) 4.(1) Schedule 2, part 12, items 2 and 3— omit, insert— ‘ Area ‘ 2. The parts of the areas of Broadsound Shire Council, Emerald Shire Council and Peak Downs Shire Council shown on plan JB1. ‘ Composition ‘ 3. One member from Broadsound Shire Council and 2 members each from Emerald Shire Council and Peak Downs Shire Council.’. (2) Schedule 2, part 12, items 5 to 8— omit, insert— ‘ Appointment of president and deputy president ‘ 5. A representative of the Emerald Shire Council is the president of the joint local government and a representative of the Peak Downs Shire Council is the deputy president of the joint local government.
s4 3 s4 Local Government (Areas) Amendment (No. 1) No. 6, 1999 ‘ Contributions ‘ 6. The cost of the operations of the joint local government must be paid in the following proportions— (a) Broadsound Shire Council—nil; (b) Emerald Shire Council—71%; (c) Peak Downs Shire Council—29%.’.
