Local Government Amendment Regulations 2002

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Local Government Act 1993 .23 December 2002

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Local Government Amendment Regulations 2002 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette. 3Principal RegulationsIn these regulations, the Local Government Regulations 1994 are referred to as the Principal Regulations. 4Regulation 36 insertedAfter regulation 35 of the Principal Regulations , the following regulation is inserted in Part 4: 36Prescribed newspapers For the purposes of clause 5 of Schedule 4 to the Act, the following newspapers are prescribed newspapers: (a) the "King Island Courier" for the municipal area of King Island; (b) the "Island News" for the municipal area of Flinders.
