s1 2 s3 Local Government Amendment (No. 4) No. 425, 1996 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Local Government Amendment Regulation (No. 4) 1996 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the Local Government Regulation 1994 . ˙ Insertion of new pt 7A 3. After section 25— insert — ‘ PART 7A—NATIONAL COMPETITION REFORM OF SIGNIFICANT BUSINESS ACTIVITIES ˙ ‘ Prescribed requirement for public benefit assessments and public benefit assessment reports—Act, s 458M ‘ 25A.(1) To the extent it is reasonably practicable, public benefit assessments and public benefit assessment reports must comply with the assessment guidelines. ‘ (2) In this section— “assessment guidelines” means the document called ‘Local Government Competitive Neutrality Public Benefit Assessment Guidelines’ issued by the State Local Government National Competition Policy Working Group. 1 ’. 1 Copies of the Local Government Competitive Neutrality Public Benefit Assessment Guidelines may be inspected at the State office of the Department of Local Government and Planning and at each local government’s public office.
