s1 2 s4 Local Government Amendment (No. 2) No. 160, 1996 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Local Government Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 1996 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the Local Government Regulation 1994 . ˙ Insertion of new s 13A 3. Part 3— insert— ˙ ‘ Wording for referendum questions—Act, ss 137S, 137T ‘ 13A.(1) The wording for the question for the referendum for the affected Burnett area is in schedule 2A, part 1. ‘ (2) The wording for the question for the referendum for the affected Gold Coast area is in schedule 2A, part 2. ‘ (3) The wording for the question for the referendum for the amalgamated Gold Coast area is in schedule 2A, part 3. ‘ (4) The wording for the question for the referendum for the affected Warwick area is in schedule 2A, part 4. ‘ (5) This section and schedule 2A expire on the day after whichever of the following referendum days is last in time— • the referendum day for the affected Burnett area • the referendum day for the affected Gold Coast area • the referendum day for the affected Warwick area. ‘ (6) However, if the 3 referendum days mentioned in subsection (5) are all the one day, this section and schedule 2A expire on the day after that day.’. ˙ Insertion of new sch 2A 4. PART 2—QUESTION FOR AFFECTED GOLD COAST AREA Do you approve of abolishing the City of Gold Coast and reinstating the former Shire of Albert, the former City of Gold Coast, and the former external boundaries of the Shire of Beaudesert? PART 3—QUESTION FOR AMALGAMATED GOLD COAST AREA Do you approve the holding of triennial elections for the councillors of the Council of the City of Gold Coast in 1997?
