s1 2 s3 Local Government Amendment (No. 2) No. 340, 1995 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Local Government Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 1995 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the Local Government Regulation 1994 . ˙ Insertion of new s 12A 3. After section 12— insert— ˙ ‘ Principles and criteria when area may be divided or redivided or division boundaries affected—Act, s 75 ‘ 12A.(1) Subsection (2) states the principle to which the commissioner must have regard when considering a reviewable local government matter about dividing or redividing a local government area or changing the boundaries of divisions of a local government area. ‘ (2) The boundaries of the divisions of a local government area should be drawn in a way that has regard to the following matters— (a) community and diversity of interest; (b) ways of communication; (c) physical features; (d) population density; (e) demographic trends; (f) development trends.’.
