1   Short title

This regulation may be cited as the Local Government Amendment Regulation 2022.

2   Regulation amended

This regulation amends the Local Government Regulation 2012.

3   Amendment of sch 1 (Prescribed information about local governments)

(1)Schedule 1, table, entry for Toowoomba, column 3, ‘edition 3’—
omit, insert—

4   Amendment of sch 3 (Implementing local government changes relating to changes of the boundaries of local government areas)

Schedule 3, part 1—
insert—

1I   Change in boundaries affecting both Toowoomba Regional Council and Western Downs Regional Council

(1)The part of lot 3 on RP24469, and the part of lot 75 on AG613, that were not in the Toowoomba Regional Council’s local government area immediately before the commencement are—

(a)excluded from the Western Downs Regional Council’s local government area; and

(b)included in the Toowoomba Regional Council’s local government area.

(2)The local government changes mentioned in subsection (1) take effect on the commencement.
