LOCAL GOVERNMENT

(AMENDMENT) ACT.

Act No. 13, 1929.

A n Act to a m e n d the definition of newspaper

appear ing in the Local Government Act ,

1919, a s amended b y subsequent Acts .

BE it enacted l»y the King's Most Excellent Majes ty , lative Council and Legislat ive Assembly of New South by and with the advice and consent of the Leg i s ­

Wales in Parl iament assembled, and by the authori ty of the same, as follows :—

1 . This Act may be cited as the " L o c a l Govern­

ment (Amendment) Act, 11)29.''
2 . The Local Government Act, 1919, as amended by subsequent Acts, is further amended by omitting from section four the definition of " N e w s p a p e r " and by inserting in l ieu thereof the following definition:—-

" N e w s p a p e r " means a newspaper upon which is

printed a statement that it is registered for transmission by post or under the Newspapers Act, 1898, and which circulates within the area or district with respect to which the term
