Subsection eight of section seven of the Principal Amendment Act is amended by repealing the second proviso (beingof s’7 <8>’ the final subparagraph) of paragraph (ii.) thereof and inserting, in lieu of that repealed proviso, the following proviso:— “ Provided further that, in respect of the triennial election to be held in the year one thousand nine hundred and fifty-eight, upon application in that behalf made by a Local Authority upon grounds deemed by him to be sufficient, the Governor in Council may, by Proclamation published in the Gazette, fix for the holding of that triennial election in the Area of that Local Authority a Saturday, not earlier than the second last Saturday in April and not later than the last Saturday in May, and in that event the said triennial election shall, in the year one thousand nine hundred and fifty-eight, be held in the Area of the Local Authority in question on the Saturday so fixed and not on the last Saturday in April.” P art III.— A mendments of “ T he P art III. —A mendments of f“ T he C ity of C ity of B risbane B risbane A cts , 1924 to 1957.” 1924 TO 1957.’ ! 5.
