(1) Short title. This Act may be cited as "The Local Government Acts Amendment Act of 1962." (2) Principal Act. "The Local Government Acts, 1936 to 1961," are in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. (3) Collective title. The Principal Act and this Act may be collectively cited as "The Local Government Acts, 1936 to 1962."

288 Local Government Acts Amendment Act of 1962, No. 35 2. Amendments of s. 24. Section twenty-four of the Principal Act is amended by- (a) in paragraph (iii) of subsection ( l) inserting after the words "the Commissioner for Railways" the words "or the Commissioner of Irrigation and Water Supply"; (b) in subsection (3)- (i) omitting the word "and", where appearing at the end of paragraph (q); (ii) inserting after paragraph (r) the following paragraph:- "and (s) Occupation permit, stock grazing permit, or apiary permit granted pursuant to "The ForestryAct of 1959","; and (c) in subsection (5) inserting after the words "mining dredging claim" the words "or dredging lease".
