THE J,OCAL GOVEBNlIENr [ASSENTED TO 30TH NOVEMBER, 1950.] AlIIEANCDTloSIENT ACT OF B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, 1950. by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of thr same, as follows :-- 1. This Act may be cited as " The Local Government Short title Acts Amendment Act of 1950," and shall be read as one :!truction with *" The Local Government Acts, 1936 to 1949," . herein referred to as the Principal Act. The Principal Act and this Act may collectively ~ ollective be cited as " The Local Government Acts, 1936 to 1950." tItle. 2. In paragraph one of section thirty-one of the Amendment Principal Act the words "one hundred pounds " are ofs. 31 (1). repealed and the words "two hundred pounds" are inserted in lieu of such repealed words. 3. In the second paragraph of subsection fifteen of Amendment section thirty-four of the Principal Act the words" being of s. 34 (15). an authorised surveyor" are repealed. 4. No. 12, before or after the passing of *" The Local Government Acts Amendment Act of 1950," of which any authority or body engaged in supplying gas in any Area or a particular Area, as the case requires, or part of the Area is the owner, user, or occupier; and (b) Without limiting the generality of the powers and functions of any Local Authority, it is hereby declared that each and every Local Authority has and possesses and may exercise and perform express powers and authorities (including the power to make by-laws) in relation to buildings so deemed to be included in any reference as aforesaid and to the use and occupation of such buildings and to other matters with respect to such buildings as if such buildings were not owned, used, or occupied by an authority or body engaged in supplying gas in its Area or part of its Area.." 15 N G o E .
