LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1993—REGULATION

(Relating to the Building Code of Australia and approvals)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council,
and in pursuance of the Local Government Act 1993, has been pleased to

make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Local Government (Approvals) Regulation 1993 is amended by omitting from the definition of “Building Code of Australia” in clause 4

(1) the words “as in force on 1 November 1994” and by inserting instead

the words “as in force on 17 July 1995”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation i s to revise the definition in the L o c a l Government (Approvals) Regulation 1993 of the Building Code of Australia to take account of recent amendments to that Code.

This Regulation i s made under the Local Government Act 1993, including section 70 (Compliance by the Crown with building standards), section 748 (the general regulation- making power) and item 8 of Schedule 6 (Regulations).
