under the Local Government Act 1993 His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Local Government Act 1993. HARRY WOODS, M.P.,
Minister for Local Government.The object of this Regulation is to repeal clause 5 of the Local Government (Savings and Transitional) Regulation 1993. Clause 5 deals with the preservation of council records. Provision for preservation of these and other records is now made by the State Records Act 1998. This Regulation is made under the Local Government Act 1993, including section 748 (the general regulation-making power) and clause 2 of Schedule 7 (which deals with savings, transitional and other provisions consequent on the enactment of that Act).
