His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Local Government Act 1993.

Explanatory note

This Regulation increases from $290 to $295 the maximum amount of the

minimum ordinary rate that a council may, without special Ministerial

approval, make under section 548 of the Local Government Act 1993. regulation-making power) of that Act.

1 Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Local Government (Rates and Charges)

Amendment Regulation 1998.

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 July 1998.

3 Notes

The explanatory note does not form part of this Regulation.

  1. Amendment of clause 6A of Local Government (Rates and Charges) Regulation 1993

    Clause 6A of the Local Government (Rates and Charges)

    Regulation 1993 is amended by omitting the matter “$290” and

    by inserting instead the matter “$295”.
