Explanatory note

Amendments made to the Local Government (General) Regulation 1993 by the Local Government (General) Amendment (Reports) Regulation 1998 provided that councils specified in Schedule 4 were to prepare supplementary state of the environment reports for the years ending 30 June 1998 and 30 June 1999. The object of this Regulation is to amend the Schedule to include certain other councils.

This Regulation contains transitional matters only.
This Regulation is made under clause 1 of Schedule 8 to the Local

Government Act 1993.

1 Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Local Government (General) Amendment
(Exempt Councils) Regulation 1998.

2     Amendment of Local Government (General) Regulation 1993

The Local Government (General) Regulation 1993 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.
