Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to provide for the adoption in New South section 748 (the general regulation-making power) and clause 8 of
Wales of a revised version of the Building Code of Australia.

1 Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Local Government (Approvals)

Amendment (Building Code) Regulation 1999.

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on I February 1999.

3 Amendment of Local Government (Approvals) Regulation 1993

The Local Government (Approvals) Regulation 1993 is amended as set out in Schedule 1 .

The explanatory note does not form part of this Regulation.

Schedule 1 Amendment

(Clause 3)

Clause 4 (1) Definitions

Omit “ 1 July 1998" from the definition of Building Code of

Australia in clause 4 ( 1 ) .

Insert instead “ 1 January 1999".
