LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1919—ORDINANCE

(Relating to the local government areas to which Ordinance No. 45A applies)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Local Government Act 1919, has been pleased to make the Ordinance set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Ordinance commences on 30 March 1992.

Amendments

2. Ordinance No. 45A is amended:

(a)

by inserting in clause 1 (a) before the words “Blue Mountains” the word “Armidale,”;

(b)

by omitting from clause 1 (a) the words “and Shoalhaven” and by inserting instead the words “ , Shoalhaven and Tamworth”;

(c)

by inserting in clause 1 (a) before the words “Lake Macquarie” the word “Hastings,”;

(d)

by inserting in clause 1 (a) before the word “Gunning” the word “Dumaresq,”;

(e) by inserting in clause 1 (a) before the word “Wingecarribee” the
word “Severn, ” .

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The purpose of this Ordinance is to amend Ordinance No. 45A made under the

Local Government Act 1919 (which regulates the carting of water for profit) so as to apply that Ordinance to the Cities of Armidale and Tamworth, the Municipality of Hastings and the Shires of Dumaresq and Severn.
