LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1919 - ORDINANCE
(Relating to contributions by consumers to the augmentation
of electricity supply systems)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Local Government Act 1919, has been pleased to make the Ordinance set forth hereunder.

Commencement
1. This Ordinance commences on 1 September 1990.
Amendments
2. Ordinance No. 54 under the Local Government Act 1919 is amended by omitting from clause 10 (3) (b) the matter "4" wherever occurring and by inserting instead the matter "6".
Transitional
3. The amendment made by this Ordinance does not apply to or in
respect of an agreement entered into, under clause 3 of Ordinance No.
54 under the Local Government Act 1919, before 1 September 1990.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Ordinance is to amend clause 10 of Ordinance No. 54 under the Local Government Act 1919 so as to extend, from 4 years to 6 years, the period during which an electricity supply authority can require new customers to contribute to the cost of augmenting an electricity supply system from which they are being supplied with electricity.
