AN ACT to amend the Local Courts Act,

1904-1964.

[Assented to 29th April, 1970.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Local Courts Short title

This Act shall come into operation on a date

to be fixed by proclamation.

Amendment

to s. 47B.

3.

Subsection (1) of section 47B of the principal Act is amended by substituting for the words "chamber of magistrates", in lines seven and eight, the words "chambers of the magistrate".

Amendment

to s. 107.

4.

Section 107 of the principal Act is amended

(a)

by adding after the word "Court", in line three, the passage "in the manner and within the time prescribed, and with such security for costs of the appeal as prescribed, by the Rules of the Supreme Court for the time being in force"; and

(b)

by substituting for the passage beginning with the word "fifty", in line eleven, and ending with the word "dismissed", in line nineteen, the words "one hundred dollars".
