No. 56 of 1958.

AN ACT to amend the Local Courts Act, 1904-1957.

[Assented to 23rd December, 1958.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Local Courts LharatiLittlieou.

Act Amendment Act, 1958.

In this Act the Local Courts Act, 1904-1957,

is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act

may be cited as the Local Courts Act, 1904-1958.

amended.

2.

Section sixty-four of the principal Act is

amended by substituting for the word, "Act" in line

six of subsection (2), the word, "section".

Section ninety-one of the principal Act is

amended by substituting for the word, "twenty" in

line two, the word, "fifty".

S. 126

4.

Section one hundred and twenty-six of the principal Act is amended by deleting all the words after the word "seizure" in line two of the proviso down to and including the word "portraits" in line ten of such proviso and substituting therefor the following words

amended.

Wearing apparel of such person to the value of fifty pounds and of his wife to the value of fifty pounds and of his family to the value of twenty-five pounds for each member thereof dependent on him, household furniture and effects to a value not exceeding in the aggregate one hundred and fifty pounds; implements of trade to the value of fifty pounds; all beds and bedding; family photographs and portraits.
