The Local Court Rule Committee has made the following rules of court under the

Local Court Act 2007.

Explanatory note

The objects of these Rules are to apply certain provisions to be inserted in the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules 2005 relating to the issue and service of subpoenas and remote appearances in relation to criminal proceedings in the Local Court.

Rule 1 Local Court Rules (Amendment No 4) 2013

Local Court Rules (Amendment No 4) 2013

1      Name of Rules

These Rules are the Local Court Rules (Amendment No 4) 2013.

2      Commencement

These Rules commence on the later of the following:

(a) the day on which section 3 of the Trans-Tasman Proceedings Act 2010 of the Commonwealth commences,
(b) the day on which these Rules are published on the NSW Legislation website.

3 Amendment of Local Court Rules 2009

Rule 8.11

Insert after rule 8.10:

8.11 Procedure for Trans-Tasman Proceedings Act 2010 of the
Commonwealth

Division 3 of Part 32 and rule 32.13 of the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules 2005 apply in respect of proceedings in the criminal jurisdiction of the Court.
