The Local Court Rule Committee has made the following rule of court under the Local Court Act

2007.

Explanatory note

The object of this Rule is to amend the Local Court Rules 2009 to increase (from $100 to $350) the maximum amount of costs that the Local Court may allow in respect of the fee for an expert opinion report.

1      Name of Rule

This Rule is the Local Court (Amendment No 7) Rule 2016.

2      Commencement

This Rule commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Local Court Rules 2009

Rule 2.9 Costs

Omit “$100” from rule 2.9 (4) (c). Insert instead “$350”.
