The Local Court Rule Committee has made the following rule of court under the Local Court Act

2007.

Explanatory note

The object of this Rule is to amend the Local Court Rules 2009 to update a reference to legislation under which fixed costs are prescribed, consequent on the enactment of the Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Act 2014.

1      Name of Rule

This Rule is the Local Court (Amendment No 6) Rule 2015.

2      Commencement

This Rule commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Local Court Rules 2009

Rule 2.9 Costs

Omit rule 2.9 (4) (a). Insert instead:

(a) matters for which costs are fixed by a fixed costs legislative provision within the meaning of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW),
