AN ACT to authorise Local Authorities to expend amounts exceeding three per centum of their Ordinary Revenue for purposes connected with the Royal Visit of 1954.

BE it enacted, by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-
Short title.
This Act may be cited as the Local Authorities, Royal Visit Expenditure Authorisation Act, 1953.

| revenue. | of section three hundred and thirty-five of the Road Districts Act, 1919, or of section four hundred and eighty of the Municipal Corpora- tions Act, 1906, which provisions limit expenditure for certain purposes to a sum not exceeding three per centum of the ordinary revenue mentioned in those sections, |
councils of municipalities and boards of road districts are authorised to expend from their ordinary revenue, such sums as they think fit for purposes connected with the Royal Visit proposed to be paid to the State in the year one thousand nine hundred and fifty-four.
