An Act for the Re-appropriation of certain Moneys appro- priated for the purposes of a Steam Tug, by The Loan Act, 1878.'

[Royal Assent proclaimed 24th August, 1882.

HEREAS by The Loan Act, 1878,' it was made lawful for the

Governor of Western Australia to raise under the said Act

any sum or sums not exceeding in the whole £200,000 sterling, to be

Re-appropriation of Portion of Loan of 1878

expended on the Public Works enumerated in the Schedule to the said recited Act ; And whereas by the said Schedule a sum of £10,000 was appropriated For Public Works, including cost of Steam Tug '; And whereas it is not considered expedient to obtain a Steam Tug for the said Colony : Be it therefore enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Western Australia and its Dependencies, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows :—

Repeal

1. The words 'including cost of Steam Tug' appearing in the Schedule to the hereinbefore recited Act shall be and are hereby repealed.

tion 2. It shall be lawful for the Governor to appropriate out of the said sum of 1310,000 any sum or sums of money for the purposes of the Public Works enumerated in the Schedule hereto ; provided always that the sums expended upon any of the said works shall in no case exceed the amount appropriated thereto by the said Schedule.
