AN ACT to authorise the raising of a sum of Seventy Million Dollars by loan for the construction of certain Public Works and for Other Purposes.

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1. This Act may be cited for all purposes as the Short title.

It shall be lawful for the Governor, from time to time, to raise by way of such loan several sums of money, not exceeding in the whole the sum of Seventy Million Dollars, as may be required for the several works and purposes mentioned in the First Schedule to this Act.

The Governor may from time to time by warrant under his hand authorise the Treasurer to advance and apply to the purposes set forth in the First Schedule to this Act any sums of money not exceeding in the whole the sum hereby authorised to be raised; and any sums of money so advanced and paid shall be retained by the Treasurer out of any moneys coming to his hands under the authority of this Act.
