No. 30 of 1939.
AN ACT to authorise the raising of a sum of Two million one hundred and thirty-seven thousand pounds by Loan for the construction of certain Public Works and Other Services and the Reappropriation of certain Loan moneys.
[Assented to 16th December, 1939.]
| Preamble. | HEREAS it is expedient to authorise the raising, by way of Loan, of certain sums of money amounting in all to Two million one hundred and thirty- seven thousand pounds for the several purposes herein- after mentioned, and the Reappropriation of certain Loan moneys: Be it enacted by the King's Most Excel- lent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia in this present Parliament assembled, |

It shall be lawful for the Governor, from time to time, to raise by way of loan such several sums of money, not exceeding in the whole the sum of Two million one

hundred and thirty-seven thousand pounds, as may be required for the several works and purposes mentioned in the First Schedule to this Act.

| five inclusive, of the said Schedule shall be applied by | |
| the Treasurer to the purposes set forth in those respec- tive items, in such amounts and manner as the Governor by any warrants under his hand may from time to time authorise and direct, in conformity with the annual esti- mates of the expenditure of loan moneys sanctioned by Parliament, and as to moneys raised under item number twenty-six of the said Schedule, shall be applied by the Treasurer to the purpose specified in that item, in such amounts and manner as the Governor may by any such warrant or warrants from time to time authorise and direct. | |

| The Governor may from time to time by warrant under Ids hand authorise the Treasurer to advance and | account. |

| apply to the purposes set forth in the First Schedule to | |
| this Act any sums of money not exceeding in the whole the sum hereby authorised to be raised ; and any sums of money so advanced and paid shall be retained by the Treasurer out of any monays coming to his hands under the authority of this Act. |

6. It shall be lawful for the Governor to appropriate Reappropria-
out of the sums set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, `.Dort from and
from the items therein set forth, and to the items
enumerated in the Third Schedule hereto, the sum of One
hundred and seventy-eight thousand and fifty pounds
sixteen shillings and eightpence to be expended on the
works named in the Third Schedule hereto.
