An Act to authorise the raising of a sum of One Million Three Hundred and Thirty-six Thousand Pounds by Loan, for the construction of certain Public Works, and other purposes.
[Assented to 26th February, 1891.
HEREAS it is expedient to construct certain Railways and Preamble
Loan, of certain sums of money amounting in all to One millionWother Public Works, and to authorise the raising, by way of
three hundred and thirty-six thousand pounds, for the several purposes hereinafter mentioned : Be it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—
1. It shall be lawful for the Governor in Council, from time to Power to raise

thousand pounds, as may be required for the several works and
pm-poses mentioned in the Schedule to this Act.
2. All sums by this Act authorised to be raised shall be paid to sums raised,
the Colonial Treasurer, and shall be by him placed to the credit of an haMitore
account to be called The 1891 Loan Account,' and shall be applied by
the Colonial Treasurer to the purposes set forth in the Schedule hereto,
in such amounts and manner as the Governor by any warrants under
his hand may from time to time authorise and direct, in conformity
with the annual Estimates of the expenditure of Loan moneys sanctioned
by Parliament.
3. The contributions to the Sinking Fund for the repayment of Contribution to
the sum by this Act authorised to be raised shall commence four sicking F""a

years from the date of the fist issue of the Debentures or Inscribed
Stock.

The principal moneys and interest raised and secured by the Stock to be created and sold, under the authority of this Act, are hereby charged upon, and shall be payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund and Assets of the Government of Western Australia, and shall constitute a charge thereon, to rank next after the charges imposed thereon by the Public Works Loan Acts, 1872' and '1873,' The Railway Supplementary Loan Act, 1875,' The Loan Act, 1878,' The Loan Act, 1878, Amendment Act, 1879,' the Loan Acts, 1881,' 1882,' and 1884,' and ' The Supplementary Loan Act, 1888.' |

| Advances on | 5. The Governor may, from time to time, by warrant under his hand, authorise the Colonial Treasurer to advance and apply, to the purposes set forth in the said Schedule, any sums of money not exceeding in the whole the sum hereby authorised to be raised, and any sums of money so advanced and paid shall be retained by the Colonial Treasurer out of any moneys coming to his hands under the authority of this Act. |
