Regulations 2001

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Livestock Disease Control Regulations 1995 to prescribe matters relating to records of sales of livestock.

2. Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 94A and 139 of the Livestock Disease Control Act 1994.

3. Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on

1 January 2002.

4. New Part 7A inserted

After regulation 37 of the Livestock Disease
Control Regulations 19951 insert—

"PART 7A—RECORDS OF SALE

37A. Records of sale

For the purposes of section 94A(1) of the Livestock Disease Control Act 1994—

(a)	the prescribed species of livestock are—
(i) cattle; (ii) sheep; (iii) goats; (iv) horses; (v) deer; (vi) pigs;
(b)	the prescribed particulars about the sale of livestock are—

(i) the name and address of the seller;

(ii)

if the sale relates to cattle, the the seller;

(iii) the date of the sale;
(iv) the location of the sale;
(v) the number of livestock sold;

(vi)  the description of the livestock including species, age and sex;

(vii)  the name and address of the purchaser;

(viii)

if the sale relates to cattle, the the purchaser (if known).".
