Live-stock Slaughter (Export Inspection Charge) Collection Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE ADMINISTRATOR of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Live-stock Slaughter (Export Inspection Charge) Collection Act 1979.

Principal Regulations

1. In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Live-stock Slaughter (Export Inspection Charge) Collection Regulations.

Interpretation

2. Regulation 2 of the Principal Regulations is amended—

(a) by inserting “or her” after “his” in the definition of “authorized agent”; and

(b) by omitting “to the Department of Primary Industry” from the definition of “Secretary” and substituting “of the Department”.

3. Regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from paragraph (3) (g) “horses, donkeys and mules slaughtered” and substituting “live-stock slaughtered, other than live-stock specified in paragraphs (c) to (f) (inclusive)”; and

(b) by omitting from paragraph (5) (a) “his authorized agent” and substituting “the authorized agent of the proprietor”.

4. Regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations is amended by inserting “or her” after “his” in sub-regulation (1).

Proper records to be kept

5. Regulation 6 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from paragraph (e) “horses, donkeys and mules” and substituting “live-stock, other than live-stock specified in paragraphs (a) to (d) (inclusive)”.

Schedule 2

6. Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is amended—

(a) by inserting “and designation” before “of a”; and

(b) by omitting “and his designation”.
