Live-stock Export Charge Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council and after taking into consideration the recommendations made to the Minister of State for Primary Industry by the Australian Meat and Live-stock Corporation with respect to amounts for the purposes of paragraphs 7 (1) (b), 8 (1) (b), 9 (1) (b), 10 (1) (b) and 11 (1) (b) of the Live-stock Export Charge Act 1977, hereby make the following Regulations under that Act.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 September 1984.

Principal Regulations

2. In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Live-stock Export Charge Regulations.

Amount per head of cattle exported

3. Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (2) “35 cents” and substituting “50 cents”.

Amount per head of sheep exported

4. Regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (2) “3.33 cents” and substituting “5 cents”.

 

Amount per head of lambs exported

5. Regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (2) “3.33 cents” and substituting “5 cents”.

Amount per head of buffaloes exported

6. Regulation 5a of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (2) “35 cents” and substituting “50 cents”.

Amount per head of goats exported

7. Regulation 6 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (2) “3.33 cents” and substituting “5 cents”.
