An Act to sanction the construction of works of Water Supply for the town of Lithgow, county of Cook. [30th April, 1894,]
WH E R E A S , pursuant to the " Public Works Act of 1888," a Supply for the town of Lithgow, county of Cook," Avas, on the certain proposed Public Work, namely, " W o r k s of Water
Legislative Assembly to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Works, be carried out"; and the said resolution was notified in the Gazette on the seventh day of February in the said last-mentioned year : Be it therefore enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1. The carrying out of the said work more particularly described
in the Schedule to this Act is hereby sanctioned, and the Secretary for Public Works, or the Member of the Executive Council for the time being charged with the duties of the said Secretary is hereby authorised and directed to undertake and carry out the said work subject to the provisions of this Act, and for that purpose shall be and shall have the powers and duties of a Constructing Authority within the meaning of the " Public Works Act of 1888." The plan of the said work is the plan marked " Lithgow Water Supply Works," signed by the Secretary for Public- Works and countersigned by the Engineer-in- Chicf for Harbours and Rivers, and deposited in the office of the said Secretary
2. The cost of carrying out the work hereby sanctioned, estimated at fifteen thousand pounds, shall be defrayed from such Loan Votes as are now or may hereafter be applicable thereto.3. This Act may be cited as the " Lithgow Water Supply Works Act of 1891," and shall be read with the " Public Works Act of 1888," and the " Country Towns Water and Sewerage Act of 1880," and the " Country Towns Water and Sewerage Act Extension Act
of 1887."
S C H E D U L E .

Clwydd, and L e t t .
The proposed works are shown by red lines on the plan referred to in Section 1 of this
Ac t . T h e y consist of :—
1. A concrete dam, thirty-five feet in he igh t and one hundred and sixty feet in
length , across F a r m e r ' s Creek, to form a storage reservoir .
2. Abou t t h r ee and a half miles of nine-inch iron pipes from the s torage reservoir
to Li thgow.
3 . Abou t four miles of six-inch, four-inch, and three- inch re t icula t ion pipes, wi th
hydrants , &c.
